Parental Engagement and Feedback

Successful schools work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that your child/children have the best possible school experience and are supported effectively to reach their potential.

At Mountain Ash Comprehensive School we provide regular opportunities to meet with parents and seek their views across the school year in a variety of ways including:-

  • Parents’ Evenings
  • Parent Questionnaires
  • Parent Forums
  • Information Evenings and Informal ‘Get Together’ opportunities such as Coffee Mornings and Curriculum Events like “Shwmae Day”

We have recently introduced Parent Forums, holding our first two events in January 2025. These meetings provided an opportunity for parents to meet with the Headteacher and Senior Leaders to hear about how the school is working on key issues which emerged from our latest Parent Questionnaire. We were delighted to have the opportunity to hear parent views first hand on what the school is doing well and what parents felt could be improved. Our discussions were open, honest and productive and have given the school a clear direction for an action plan to improve our processes and procedures.
