Dear Parent(s)/Carer(s),

I wish to thank you all for the support that you have given to the school over this last year.

It has been a very difficult year for the whole community and we are grateful for the understanding and co-operation that you have shown to the school as we have navigated our way through the challenges that we have faced.  Everyone connected with the school has had to adapt and cope with changes such as virtual meetings and blended learning and I wish to thank all of our staff, Governors, pupils and parents for your perseverance and resilience during this time.

We are hoping that in September school will continue to return to a more “normal” pattern and that some of the restrictions that we have had will be lifted.  I will write to you towards the end of the summer holidays with more details, as by then, there will be updated guidance.  Please check our usual forms of communication including the website for updates.

Please be assured that in the Autumn we will continue to do all that we can to mitigate risks whilst also operating as normally as we are able.  For example, the start of the school day will revert to normal at 8:45am and the end of the school day to 3:00pm.  There will not be staggered starts and finishes.

Due to the extra bank holiday for the Queens Platinum Jubilee in 2022 the school term will begin on Friday 3rd September which is an INSET day.  The first day of school for all pupils is Monday 6th September.

I wish you and your families a well deserved summer break and look forward to welcoming the children back to school on September 6th.

Yours sincerely,

S J Evans
