Dear Parent/Carer,
I hope you and your families are well. I would like to confirm that the last day in school for pupils in Years 11 and 13 will be Thursday 27th May 2021. Year 12 pupils will return to school as normal after half-term to continue with their studies.
As I’m sure you are aware, pupils in Years 11, 12 and 13 have been completing assessments in lessons over recent weeks in order to gather evidence to support their Centre Determined Grades (CDGs) in the summer. Whilst many subjects have completed their assessment cycles, there are still assessments remaining in others, so it is imperative that pupils continue to attend lessons. Also, it is vital that staff are able to access pupils in school if they have missed any assessments or if there is a need to gather further evidence for particular subjects. With this in mind, I would urge you to encourage your child to continue to attend school every day up until the 27th May.
Further details of the school’s CDG processes and the process for appeals will follow later this week so please keep checking ParentMail or the school’s website for updates.
Yours faithfully,
Mr D Mead
Deputy Headteacher
