Parent Update 15/09/2020

Tuesday September 15th 2020

Mountain Ash Comprehensive School has been advised by Public Health Wales that there has been a confirmed case of COVID 19 within the school in Year 10.

Some pupils in Year 10 who have been identified as close contacts have been advised to self-isolate for 14 days, as per national guidance. All other Year 10 pupils should continue to attend school as normal, unless they have been directly contacted by the school or Track and Trace strategy that the Welsh Government has adopted.

The school remains open for all other pupils and we will continue to be vigilant in adhering to all guidelines so that we can keep all children and staff safe.

For those pupils who have been asked to self-isolate, only they have to self-isolate unless they show signs of COVID 19. i.e. Parents and siblings of a pupil isolating do not need to isolate unless they show symptoms
