History Department trip to Cardiff University June 15th 2018

A group of 40 KS3 pupils from MACS visited Cardiff University on Friday 15th June 2018. This was as part of the ‘SHARE with Schools’ scheme run by the School of History, Archaeology and Religious Education (SHARE) at Cardiff. The pupils toured the Humanities Library and took part in a Scavenger Hunt, they visited the Conservation Department to examine the artefacts and relics being preserved there including textiles, metals and an Ancient Egyptian coffin. The staff and students at SHARE also provided a workshop examining the images found on the Medieval Mappa Mundi and there was a pupil-led roleplay covering a trial in Denbighshire from the 1660s.
